Hayward Baker receives PCI Plant Certification Sponsored

North America's leader in geotechnical construction, Hayward Baker, recently announced that the New England office in the Providence Metro area received the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute's (PCI) Plant Certification Program. PCI certification program started in 1967 and it is awarded to facilities demonstrating production of quality precast and prestressed concrete products. Up to this day it includes over 280 certified plants.

Hayward Baker was awarded the particular certification for manufacturing 14-inch square precast concrete piles up to 85 feet in length. Installation of longer piles is possible with the use of mechanical splicers. Inspection process included thorough examination of all plant equipment, operations, personnel, and procedures. To retain the certification, HB will undergo three unannounced inspections in the first year, and at least two annual inspections after that, to confirm standards maintenance.

Gus Delfarno, of the Providence office stated: "We are very proud of our accomplishment. The PCI Plant Certification program has now been in existence for more than 30 years. The program continues to build owner confidence in precast products and has established the material as one of choice, built to exacting standards in factory conditions. Our clients are welcome to visit and inspect our facilities."
